Each year the Bruce Museum sponsors two outdoor festivals that feature original work by some of the best artists and craftspeople from around the country. The Crafts Festival in May, regularly held one week before Memorial Day, offers handmade, contemporary functional work such as jewelry, furniture, wearables, glassware, ceramics etc. The Arts Festival, regularly held on Columbus Day weekend, features fine art including painting, graphics and drawing. mixed media, sculpture and photography. All artists are present thoughout each entire weekend and all works are for sale.
The Festivals also offer live music and dance performances, as well as a variety of delicious foods. Children are invited to participate in special art and craft activities at no extra charge.
Festival hours: 10 am – 5 pm
Admission: $8
Members and children under 5 are free.

Bring your family and friends to the Outdoor Crafts Festival, which takes place on the grounds of the Museum. The Festival is a juried event featuring more than 80 artists from across the country. Ceramics, jewelry, decorative and wearable fiber, wood accessories and furniture,glass and lots more are all available for purchase directly from the artists. From 12 noon to 4 pm both days there will be live music – on Saturday by the band Lucid and on Sunday by The Mallett Brothers Band, as well as classical solo guitarists Ed Wright and Annalisa Ewald. Members of the SONO guitar school will give a recital on Sunday from 11 – 12. Family craft activities are offered free inside the Museum, and a variety of food choices will be available outside.
