event Honorees Michael Kovner
and Jean Doyen de Montaillou
Fly Me to the Moon, the Bruce Museum's 26th annual Renaissance Ball, was a success!
Thanks to the inspiration of Co-chairs Lori Feldman and Tamara Holliday, and the vision of Décor Committee chair Linda Ruderman and the creative team of Carolyn Dempsey Designs under the leadership of Carolyn Dempsey and Jessie Wilson, all of the nearly 370 guests at the June 1st event were transported to an era of timeless elegance.
With crystal chandeliers, teal and black sequined linens, sleek draping, beautiful floral arrangements that smelled almost as good as they looked and unexpected pops of chartreuse, the décor was pure sophistication.
Michael Kovner and Jean Doyen de Montaillou were honored for their longstanding dedication and support of the Bruce.
Maria Ward, Margaret Anker and the Live Auction committee organized exciting packages, including a stay at a South African estate, a complete cocktail party for 30, round trip airfare and a round of golf at Sankaty Head Golf Club, a beautiful gold and diamond bracelet and a 7-day trip for four to play at five of Scotland's best golf courses.
Courtney Booth of Sotheby's led the Live Auction and paddle raise and immediately following the auction, guests danced to the music of Starlight Orchestra.
The premier social event of the Greenwich calendar, the Renaissance Ball benefits education and exhibition programming at the Bruce Museum.
