Thanksgiving Week at the Bruce Museum

Thanksgiving Week at the Bruce Museum

Thanksgiving celebrations will be different this year, but the spirit of joining with family and friends in fellowship and gratitude remains important to us all. Even in these trying times, we have much to be thankful for! During Thanksgiving week, the Bruce Museum invites you to schedule a visit to the Museum for some safe and family-friendly fun.

Enjoy our marvelous new exhibition of contemporary art, “She Sweeps with Many-Colored Brooms”: Paintings and Prints by Emily Mason, and see the fascinating Under the Skin science exhibition before it closes on Sunday, November 29. Enhance your visit with a scavenger hunt designed to help your family further explore our galleries filled with the wonders of art and science. Then take home an art kit that includes simple-to-make craft activities related to the exhibitions and to the Thanksgiving holiday. The kits are free for Museum members and are available to other families with a suggested donation of $5 on a first-come, first-served basis each day.

To make a reservation for timed-ticketed admission to the Museum online here. Capacity is limited according to local and state health guidelines, and appropriate masks are required. And, of course, the Bruce Museum will be closing early on Wednesday, November 25, at 2:30 pm, and closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, to allow our staff to celebrate the holiday with their own families.
