Paper Theaters Family Day

Celebrate the Paper Theaters exhibition at a fun-filled event where families can explore the exhibition with a gallery hunt, and then create a paper theater character in the workshop. At 2:00 p.m., and again at 4:00 p.m., delight in the wonder of Nappy’s Puppet’s new holiday show, Santa Gets Fired: A Shadow Spectactular. Jim “Nappy” Napolitano will tell the tale of how Santa got his job and present fun, sing-along stories and songs in this show designed to entertain, inspire and educate the audience on the range and scope of puppetry as an art form. No reservations are necessary.

All of this day’s activities are suitable for students of all abilities ages 5 years and up, and are free with Museum admission.

December Vacation Workshop: Paper Theaters!

Inclusive, hands-on art workshops for students in grades 1 – 3, who will explore the exhibition and then work on related art projects.

Tuesday: Box Theaters
Wednesday: Paper Theater Characters
Thursday: Box Theater Backdrops & Props

Each workshop is a complete program, but the three projects are complementary. These inclusive workshops are suitable for students of all abilities.
