iCreate 2022: Annual Juried Exhibition of High School Talent

July 3, 2022 - September 25, 2022

Sung Yejin, Scarsdale High School, Grade 11

iCreate serves as an outlet for emerging artists, amplifying the scope of their pieces' influence and providing the community a glimpse into regional artistic potential. The works submitted are from diverse artists and mediums and explore different themes ranging from critiques of traditional social constructs to playful portraits, fond memories, race, identity, nature, and animal welfare. While the pandemic and the New Bruce construction have made it impossible to mount the exhibition in person over the past two years, we are excited to present iCreate again virtually this year.

The Bruce Museum is grateful for exhibition support from the Rockefeller Capital Management, Greenwich, the Connecticut Office of the Arts, the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation, John and Susan Hart, Horseneck Club of Greenwich, Susan and Bill Mahoney, Chris and Bill Nichols, and Heidi and Scott Smith.

Participating Students

The iCreate exhibition is an annual juried competition that showcases the talents of an emerging generation of artists. With a final selection of 50 artworks from over 875 submissions across 62 high schools throughout Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, iCreate exemplifies a breadth of themes and styles. In addition to providing a venue for youth expression, iCreate seeks to instill confidence in participating artists and offer the public a glimpse of the unbounded genius contained within creative young minds.

This year's annual juried iCreate exhibition is on view as a virtual exhibition due to the uncertainty that the Covid pandemic created with this year's exhibition planning and the limited exhibition space available with the construction of the New Bruce.

Please visit the iCreate Virtual Exhibition to view the exhibition finalists.
