iCreate is an annual exhibition organized by the Bruce Museum's Youth Committee, Youth@Bruce. This year we have a final selection of 46 artworks from an open call to regional high schools and one school from Tianjin, China. These jury-selected finalists are on display in the Lecture Gallery along with a digital presentation of all entries, June 7 through July 6, 2014.
In the spirit of the cross-cultural exchange of art displayed in our current exhibition Tales of Two Cities: New York & Beijing, this year's iCreate exhibition is especially exciting as it will feature not only the selected works of regional high school students, but also the selected works of students from Tianjin No. 2 High School, a Chinese high school that is paired with Greenwich High School through the prestigious Asia Society Confucius Classrooms Network.
Jury Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Youth@Bruce and two Honorable Mentions, are presented at the beginning of the exhibition video. The People's Choice Award was decided by the public from the choice of 465 accepted submissions. The People's Choice Award was presented to Caitlyn Litaker, Grade 11, Clarkstown High School South, Clarkstown, NY.
