Hot Art in a Cold War: Intersections of Art and Science in the Soviet Era

January 27, 2018 - May 20, 2018

This exhibition spotlights the development of 20th-century Soviet nuclear weaponry, space travel and kinetics through about 35 artworks from the Zimmerli Museum of Art’s Norton and Nancy Dodge Collection of Nonconformist Art from the Soviet Union. The art will be juxtaposed with Soviet era artifacts from the space race and atomic era.
