Early closing at 3 p.m. Doors close at 1/2 hour before closing, last admission at 2:30 pm.
 

Winter Weather Closings

If the Museum is closed to the public due to weather conditions or other emergencies, an announcement will be placed by 7:15 a.m. on the Museum's telephone message at 203-869-0376. Bruce Museum also posts closing notices on the Bruce Museum website brucemuseum.org homepage and social media pages.

From New York City/ Westchester County and points south and west

Take I-95 North to exit 3 . At the bottom of ramp turn right onto Arch Street. Follow Arch Street to intersection of Steamboat Road. Go straight across to Museum Drive. The museum entrance is 500 feet on your left. Students may be dropped off at front entrance plaza. Buses must continue around drive and park in designated parking spaces at bottom of the hill.

From New Haven/Stamford and points east
Take I-95 South to exit 3. Turn left at bottom of the ramp onto Arch Street. Go under thruway bridge to intersection of Steamboat Road. Proceed as above.

From the Merritt Parkway

Take the North Street exit and follow signs to central Greenwich. At the end of North Street bear left onto Maple Avenue. At the light bear right onto Putnam Avenue and take the immediate left onto Milbank Avenue. Follow Milbank to the end, bearing straight at rotaries. Turn right onto Bruce Park Avenue. Take the next left onto Steamboat Road. At the light take a left onto Museum Drive.

By Train

Take Metro-North to Greenwich Station. Special discounts are available for Metro-North Railroad's “One-Day Getaways.” Exit the station toward the east and turn right onto Steamboat Road. Walk through I-95 underpass and climb steps to the Museum.

The Bruce Museum admission fees during construction:

The admission fee is “Pay as you wish.”

Please consider giving an admission amount by donating to our Annual Fund that supports our exhibitions, education programs, and community engagement efforts. Donations may be made online in advance or deposited in our giving box at the Museum. 

The Bruce Museum is undergoing extensive renovations.  Art galleries are closed. The permanent science galleries are open at this time.

We are pleased to partner with Bank of America on the Museums on Us program. On the first full weekend of every month, all Bank of American cardholders have free admission to the Bruce. Each cardholder gets one free general admission. We are grateful for Bank of America's support of the Bruce Museum and for partnering with the Museum on this program.

The Bruce Museum is participating in the Blue Star Museums program, offering free admission to all active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families with identification. The Bruce Museum offers this program year-round.
