Sacred Heart University Biology Professor Jo-Marie Kasinak will present Project Limulus: a community-based research study examining the ecology of the Long Island Sound horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus) population. This “living fossil” has survived since before the dinosaurs but their population has been declining for decades due to human influences. Come learn about these incredible creatures and why you should thank a horseshoe crab if you have received a COVID-19, flu, or other type of vaccination.
