About the Author
Samantha Greene Woodruff transitioned from a fifteen-year career at Viacom's Nickelodeon to pursue her passion for writing. After studying at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College, she published her debut novel, The Lobotomist's Wife (2022), which became an Amazon First Reads selection.
Her second novel, The Trade Off (2024), has garnered impressive recognition as a Zibby Award winner in three categories (including Best Book for the History Lover), the Jewish Book Council's January 2025 book club fiction pick, and a finalist for She Reads Best Historical Fiction of 2024.
Woodruff's writing extends beyond novels—she contributed the personal essay "Jew-ish" to the USA Today bestselling anthology On Being Jewish Now (2024), edited by Zibby Owens. Her work has also appeared in Newsweek, Writer's Digest, LitHub, and other publications.
A Greenwich, Connecticut resident, Woodruff balances her writing career with family life, yoga practice, and an admitted fondness for karaoke. The self-described "recovering MBA" brings both business acumen and creative insight to her literary work.
