Gentle Yoga & Stretching at the Bruce Museum Seaside Center
Embrace the calm. Move with the waves.
Relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature through yoga and meditation on the beach. Feel the breeze, listen to the waves, and find your inner peace in a beautiful, serene setting. All levels are welcome. Bring a yoga mat or towel and join us for a refreshing mind-body experience. All ages welcome. Please register in advance!
No beach pass is required if you are attending Gentle Yoga & Stretching class. Please let them know at the gate you are attending the Bruce Museum Seaside Center wellness class. Programs take place outside of the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich, CT.
Corinne Flax is thrilled to be offering adult yoga and meditation classes at the Bruce Museum Seaside Center, as she couldn’t turn down the opportunity to teach in such a beautiful and serene location. Corinne is the Manager of School and Community Partnerships at the Bruce Museum, where she creates curriculum, professional-development workshops, and after school events. Corinne completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and 20-hour kids and teen yoga certification in 2022. She teaches adult classes at the Harlem Yoga Studio and monthly family classes at the Bruce Museum and Wave Hill. The focus of Corinne’s teaching practice, both on and off the mat, is accessibility, fun, and self-discovery. See you on the sand.
Directions
From I-95 exit 5 (Riverside/Old Greenwich) North and South
- Turn right at the light at the end of the ramp onto Route 1/East Putnam Avenue.
- Turn right at the next light onto Sound Beach Avenue.
- Follow Sound Beach Avenue, past Perrot Library; keep right at the rotary and continue through the village of Old Greenwich to the end of the road– about 2 miles.
- Turn right at the end of the road at the stop sign onto Shore Road.
- Follow Shore Road to the entrance to Greenwich Point Park.
- Proceed past Gate House.
- The Seaside Center building is located in the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage which is the first building on your left after you pass the gate house.
