Design Your Own Trophy

What goes into creating a trophy? Just like the trophies you will see this weekend in the Auditorium, you can be the designer of your own trophy. Take the time to plan, sketch and bring to life your own trophy. Children will create 2D and 3D trophies that they can take home to celebrate all of their wins in life from hockey to reading their favorite book.

Break the Ice

Check out this fun game that explores the properties of ice! Unlike the smooth, Zamboni-ed ice that hockey players glide on, this game mimics the unpredictable, uneven, dangerously thin ice one might encounter in the wild.

Chill out with this fun game that doubles as a STEAM lesson in mass, density, and gravity. Modern ice rinks are designed to hold the weight of many hockey players and ice skaters, but natural ice rinks are made up of a frozen top layer with frigid waters below. How many players and skaters can make it out on your rink? Play to find out, but don’t break the ice!

Meet a Mascot

Have you ever wanted to meet a mascot? Join us to meet some of the mascots from the American Hockey League. On Saturday, December 7 you will be able to meet a mascot, Storm from 12-4pm.

Design Your Own Jersey

Create your own jersey or redesign your favorite team’s jersey! Come to the Science Lab to test out your design skills and make a 2D illustration of your own hockey jersey.
